A series of experiments in video modulation and generational loss of magnetic tape. The source material was over 42 hours of DV tapes, taken during my years as awkward, Appalachian adolescent. The distorted VHS tapes were then edited via tape-to-tape methods between two refurbished VCRs to create a 45 minute master tape. The piece is played from a small TV with a built-in-VCR and the viewer is given a remote in order to fastforward or rewind through the distorted “archive.”
